PBL implementation can be exciting, but it can also be challenging. From an administrator standpoint, it might be intimidating to try to think about supporting teachers in their PBL journey.
In this episode, Josh (@askgiebs) and Andrea (@MissB103) have a conversation with a few guests to address the idea of administrator support for teachers using PBL and tackle the question, “What does it look like for an administrator to be supportive in their role when they have teachers using PBL as their primary instructional practice?” In their first interview, they talk to Jeff Spencer (@jefftspencer) and Brittany Tinkler (@btink89) from Southport Elementary School in Indianapolis, IN, a school that is wall-to-wall Project Based Learning about what administrator support looks like in that environment. Second, they talk to Natalie Brazeal, a high school teacher from West Plains, MO, who is somewhat of a PBL “lone wolf’ in her building. In this interview, they discuss what administrators can do to provide support in this situation.
